ICD-11 definition : A disease of the pulmonary system, caused by an infection with the gram-negative bacteria Legionella. This disease is characterized by cough, shortness of breath, fever, muscle aches, or headache. Transmission is by inhalation of mist or vapour contaminated with Legionella. Confirmation is by detection of Legionella antigen in urine, identification of Legionalla from sputum or lung biopsy, or a four-fold increase in antibodies to Legionella.;
